Decugnano dei Barbi "Mare Antico", Orvieto Classico Superiore - oogstjaar 2022
In het glas is Mare Antico licht goudgeel gekleurd met aroma's van witte perzik, iets peer, een puntje grapefruit en bloemige tonen.
De wijn is rijk van smaak met genoemde aroma's en toont daarnaast een fijne mix van noot, amandel, een minimaal puntje vanille en tenslotte wat ziltige mineraliteit.
De naam van de wijn Mare Antico, oftewel 'oude zee', is een eerbetoon aan de zeefossielen en schelpen die in de bodem van Orvieto worden gevonden.

Serveren bij:
Gerookte zalm & paling, krab- en garnalen cocktail, Sushi, verfijnd vegetarische voorgerechtjes met een romig sausje, pasta met zeevruchten of kip,
Vinificatie:
De fermentatie, afzonderlijk voor elke variëteit, vind plaats in RVS gedurende ongeveer 15 dagen bij een temperatuur van 14-16 graden. Slechts een klein deel (5-10%) fermenteerd in barrique en ondergaat de tweede, malolactische, gisting.
Nog een jaar lang rijpt de wijn in de fles voordat deze, in ons geval, naar Delft kwam!
